The EL01 was unveiled as a concept at Ather's Community Day in August 2025 and the production test mule has since been spotted testing. It uses a new modular steel unibody platform, a departure from the aluminium spaceframe of the 450 series, to bring costs down meaningfully. 

The scooter will get 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheels, an onboard charger called the Charge Drive Controller, voice commands via AtherStack 7.0, and a 7-inch TFT display. Battery options are expected to mirror the Rizta's 2.9 and 3.7 kWh packs. 

Ather's Chief Business Officer confirmed the price will sit below the Rizta but above Rs 1 lakh, pointing to Rs 1.05 to 1.10 lakh. Production is planned at Ather's new Maharashtra facility.
