In a move that has brought cheer to prospective two-wheeler buyers across India, several leading manufacturers have announced significant price reductions following the recent cut in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on motorcycles and scooters with engine capacities up to 350cc.
Here's a confirmed list of manufacturers who have revised their prices, along with the detailed savings you can expect on your next purchase. FYI, its not much but even few thousands is the step in the right direction.
Despite the recent GST hike that increased the tax on motorcycles above 350 cc from 31 percent to 40 percent, The Moto Morini X-Cape 650, X-Cape 650 X and the Seiemmezzo 650 range will continue to be offered at their current ex-showroom prices, ensuring better affordability for customers.
Similarly, the Benelli 502C cruiser remains unaffected by the tax revision. This move effectively shields buyers from the added burden of higher costs, making these middleweight motorcycles more attractive during the festive season when demand generally peaks.
Harley Davidson
Harley-Davidson has confirmed that the ex-showroom price of the X440 (variants from Rs 2.40-2.80 lakh) in Delhi will not change despite the GST on motorcycles above 350 cc being raised from 31% to 40%. Unlike many rivals such as Royal Enfield, Harley is absorbing the tax hike itself.

The larger 390 series and higher-capacity models remain in the higher tax bracket, so their prices are unchanged for now.

The Speed 400, a hugely popular roadster co-developed with Bajaj, recently received a small revision in its ex-showroom pricing. The 2025 model now lists at ₹2,50,551, an increase of just over ₹4,000 compared to the earlier figure.
Despite the GST increase on motorcycles above 350cc, Bajaj has confirmed there will be no price hike for India-made Triumph and KTM bikes. Models such as the Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, Thruxton 400, and KTM 390 series will continue at their current rates.
By absorbing the additional tax impact, Bajaj aims to retain strong value in a competitive market, positioning Triumph and KTM as attractive options against rivals like Royal Enfield.
The Speed T4, now priced at Rs 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom), presents a compelling value for buyers. The Speed 400 has seen its price reduced to Rs 2,33,754 from Rs 2,50,551, while the Speed T4 is now offered at Rs 1,92,539, down from Rs 2,06,738.

The entry-level scooters like the Access and Avenis now cost under a lakh, with savings of around Rs 8,500, making them even more attractive for city commuters.
The Burgman Street and its EX version too see reductions close to Rs 10,000, offering a premium scooter experience at a more accessible price point. 1. How much have two-wheeler prices dropped after GST 2.0?
Depending on the brand and model, prices have fallen anywhere from ₹2,000 on entry-level scooters to ₹18,000 on mid-range motorcycles. Premium bikes above 500cc have seen bigger cuts, in some cases going up to ₹50,000 or more.
2. Which two-wheeler brands have announced price cuts under GST 2.0?
Almost all major brands have revised their prices. For example, Hero Splendor by around ₹4,000, TVS Apache series by up to ₹30,000, and Royal Enfield bikes by up to ₹22,000.
3. Are commuter motorcycles benefiting more from GST cuts than premium bikes?
Not exactly. While commuter bikes (100cc–160cc) are seeing modest cuts of ₹2,000–₹7,000, premium and performance bikes benefit more in absolute terms, with savings ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹50,000. This makes premium bikes significantly more attractive post-GST 2.0.
4. Will electric scooters and bikes get cheaper after GST 2.0?
Electric two-wheelers already enjoyed a lower 5% GST rate, so the new reforms have not drastically changed their pricing. However, some EV brands are offering ₹1,000–₹3,000 reductions to stay competitive with petrol two-wheelers that now look more affordable.
5. Is this a temporary price cut or a permanent GST benefit?
The reduction comes directly from the revised GST structure, so it is permanent as long as GST rates remain unchanged. However, manufacturers may adjust pricing in the future based on raw material costs, emission norms, or new features.
6. Is the GST price cut on ex-showroom price or on-road price?
The GST price cut applies only to the ex-showroom price of two-wheelers/cars. This is because GST is charged on the base price of the vehicle, not on additional costs. The on-road price includes RTO registration, road tax, insurance, and handling charges, which are not covered by GST changes.
