Suzuki has teased the launch of a new scooter in India on 2 April 2026. The company shared a teaser image on social media with the caption, “The one and only arrives soon.”

The image shows a maxi-scooter silhouette with a large front apron and a prominent nacelle for the instrument cluster.

It reveals a fresh split headlamp design with twin LED units and integrated DRLs, drawing inspiration from Suzuki's larger Burgman models such as the Burgman 200 and Burgman 400 sold overseas.

Industry reports point to this being the new-generation Suzuki Burgman Street. The current model has been on sale since 2018 with only minor changes, including the 2022 Street EX variant that added larger 12-inch rear wheels.

This move comes as Suzuki enters a segment that includes rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155.

The upcoming scooter is expected to receive updates similar to the recent 2025 Suzuki Access 125. These include a revised camshaft, crankshaft, crankcase, and improvements to the air intake system. Though the 125cc single-cylinder engine is likely to retain its output of 8.4 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque.

Other possible changes involve the transmission, with a new roller-type one-way clutch and revised clutch springs.
