BMW F 450 GS Gets Costlier by Up to Rs. 30,000, Five Months After Launch

Quick Read - BMW F 450 GS prices have increased by Rs 25,000 for the Base and Exclusive variants and by Rs 30,000 for the GS Trophy. The new prices are Rs 4.95 lakh, Rs 5.15 lakh and Rs 5.60 lakh, respectively.
BMW Motorrad has hiked F 450 GS prices less than five months after its India launch in April 2026. All three variants have been affected, with increases ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000.
The mechanicals have not changed with the 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, which makes 48 PS and 43 Nm through a 6-speed gearbox. The GS Trophy's Easy Ride Clutch, stays exclusive to that variant, as do its tubeless wire-spoke wheels.

The F 450 GS is produced at the TVS Motor Company plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, the same facility that builds the TVS Apache RTX, which has also been seeing extended waiting periods.
Whether the long waits at both models reflect production constraints or export prioritisation is still unclear, but the India-made setup has kept the F 450 GS priced far below what a fully imported 450cc twin would cost in this market.
Rivals
The closest rivals of the BMW F 450 GS in India are the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure S, followed by the more premium Honda NX500.
