Tata revealed the Avinya X concept at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo on the EMA (Electric Modular Architecture) platform that JLR developed and now shares with Tata. The concept has a futuristic exterior with a sloped roofline, thick body cladding, large aero-optimised wheels, flush-fit door handles, and wraparound taillamps.

Inside, the concept showed minimalist surfacing, speakers integrated into the headrests, sustainable materials, swivelling front seats, and AI and machine learning-based connected features. A panoramic glass roof spans most of the cabin.

Prototype testing has already begun on Indian roads, with spy shots surfacing in early 2027 showing near-production-spec bodywork under camouflage.

The Avinya X is expected to be positioned as Tata's halo vehicle, competing at a price point well above the Harrier EV.
