The updated Volkswagen Virtus has been spotted testing on Indian roads for the first time.
Launched in 2022, the mid-size sedan is now due for its first mid-cycle facelift, which is expected to arrive in the second half of this year.
Volkswagen Virtus Facelift Design Changes
Spy shots show the test mule heavily camouflaged at the front and rear. The images reveal a revised front grille, LED headlamps with new DRL patterns, and a redesigned bumper.
The side profile is set to carry over, with a new design for the alloy wheels being the only noticeable change.
At the back, the tail lamps and bumper also appear updated, but the heavy camouflage masks the design elements. Some reports suggest the possibility of illuminated Volkswagen logos at both ends.

Volkswagen Virtus Facelift Expected Features

On the inside, the facelift is likely to bring a larger touchscreen infotainment system with updated software, a new digital instrument cluster, fresh upholstery, ventilated front seats, and possibly a massage function on the rear seats, along with other comfort upgrades.
The overall dashboard layout could remain unchanged.
Volkswagen Virtus Facelift Powertrains
The engine options are expected to remain unchanged, continuing with the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines.
A big addition could be the new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre engine, replacing the current 6-speed unit. The 1.5-litre variants will retain the 7-speed DSG automatic.
