VinFast is set to launch its first electric MPV in India, the MPV 7, on April 15.

This marks the Vietnamese company's third model in the country after the VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs.

Bookings are already open with a token amount of Rs 21,000.

In terms of design, the MPV 7 has a modern MPV look with slim LED headlights featuring Vinfast's traditional 'V motion' grille, connected LED tail-lamps, and aero-optimised alloy wheels.

It measures 4740 mm in length, 1872 mm in width and stands 1734 mm tall, with a 2840 mm wheelbase, giving it a practical stance and spacious cabin.

Inside, it features a black-themed cabin with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, leatherette seats, automatic air conditioning with vents for all rows, and useful storage spaces.

Comfort features include a height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, and a good selection of safety aids, such as TPMS and an electronic parking brake.

Vinfast MPV 7 Battery Specifications

The MPV 7 will be powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. This setup produces around 201 hp and 280 Nm of torque.

Vinfast claims a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 10 seconds. It offers three drive modes - Eco, Normal, and Sport.

The company claims a driving range of 450 to 500 km on the NEDC cycle. It supports DC fast charging, which can take the battery from 10 to 70% in about 30 minutes.

The MPV 7 is a seven-seater EV designed mainly for private family buyers, and is expected to be priced between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

It will compete with models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMAX 7 in the growing electric MPV segment.

VinFast will also introduce the Limo Green, a fleet-focused version based on the same platform.

More official details on exact prices, variants, and real-world range and performance are expected to be revealed at the launch event.
