Skoda is considering bringing its upcoming flagship Peaq electric SUV to India as part of its broader plan to expand its global portfolio in the country. Confirming the possibility, Skoda Auto India Brand Director Ashish Gupta said, to Autocar India,
“Yes it's on my radar. We need to bring in a premium car, and not a bare-bones car at a high price.”
Set to make its global debut on June 23, the Peaq will become the largest vehicle ever sold by Skoda. Based on Volkswagen Group's MEB electric platform, the SUV is expected to measure close to 4.9 metres in length and will be offered with both five- and seven-seat layouts.
The model will sit above the Enyaq in Skoda's global line-up and serve as the brand's flagship EV.

Internationally, the Peaq is expected to be offered with 63kWh and 91kWh battery packs, along with rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The range-topping dual-motor variant is expected to produce up to 299hp and deliver a claimed driving range of more than 600km. Fast-charging capability is expected to enable a 10-80 percent charge in under 30 minutes.
If introduced in India, the Peaq would likely act as a halo product for the Czech carmaker, helping strengthen its premium image while paving the way for future locally manufactured electric vehicles.
It would also give Skoda a presence in the growing premium electric SUV segment, where buyers are increasingly looking for larger, long-range family-oriented EVs.
