Kia India has revealed the Carnival HEV for India, bringing a strong-hybrid powertrain to its premium MPV lineup. The India-spec model combines a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 54kW electric motor and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The petrol engine produces 180 PS and 265 Nm, while the electric motor develops 73.4 PS and 304 Nm. The Carnival HEV will be available in six- and seven-seat configurations, retaining its focus on spaciousness and premium passenger comfort.
Kia has also added new technology and convenience features, including a 220V power outlet, active aerodynamic elements, remote smart parking assist, front and rear dashcams, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, OTA updates and a Kia AI Assistant.
Kia Carnival HEV Engine and Hybrid Setup

The biggest change comes under the bonnet, where the Carnival gets Kia's 1.6-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol engine paired with a 54kW electric motor. The hybrid system is supported by a 1.49kWh lithium-ion polymer battery and works with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol engine produces 180 PS and 265 Nm, while the electric motor delivers 73.4 PS and 304 Nm, giving the premium MPV an electrified powertrain without moving away from its conventional automatic transmission setup.

Kia Carnival HEV Features

The Carnival HEV gets a technology-focused equipment package designed to improve convenience for both the driver and passengers. The highlights include remote smart parking assist, a 220V power outlet, active aerodynamic elements, front and rear dashcams, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, OTA software updates and Kia AI Assistant.

The MPV also continues to offer premium equipment such as second-row VIP relaxation seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, dual sunroofs, powered sliding doors, ADAS and an eight-airbag setup.
Kia Carnival HEV Booking Prices, and Delivery
Kia has not yet announced the official booking amount or confirmed the opening date for Carnival HEV bookings in India. The company has also not revealed the final India-spec price or confirmed the delivery schedule. These details are expected to be announced as Kia moves closer to the model's retail launch.

The Kia Carnival HEV's India price is yet to be announced. The model forms part of Kia India's broader electrification strategy and is expected to expand the company's hybrid portfolio.
