Hyundai Introduces Assured Buyback Programme for the Creta Electric

Hyundai has introduced an Assured Buyback Programme for the Creta Electric, guaranteeing owners 60% of the purchase price if they return the car within three years or 45,000 km, whichever comes first.
This comes shortly after Hyundai introduced the Battery-as-a-Service option for the car, bringing the entry price down to Rs 10.99 lakh with a battery usage charge of Rs 3.9 per km.
Between BaaS and the buyback guarantee, Hyundai is clearly trying to reduce the financial risk on both ends of EV ownership, and that is a sensible approach for a market that is still warming up to electric cars.

About the Creta Electric and Rivals
The Creta Electric is offered with two battery options, a 42 kWh pack and a larger 51.4 kWh unit, with the latter claiming up to 510 km of range.
Power outputs stand at 135 hp and 171 hp respectively, and the long-range variant covers 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. DC fast charging brings the battery from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes.
Its closest rivals in the electric SUV space are the Tata Curvv EV, the MG ZS EV, and the Mahindra BE 6.
