BMW M2 CS Launched at Rs 1.66 Crore - Design, Features, and Specifications

BMW India has introduced the new M2 CS at ₹1.66 crore (ex-showroom), marking the first time this track-focused variant arrives in the country.
Sold as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model in limited quantities, the special-edition coupe targets driving enthusiasts seeking ultimate performance and exclusivity.
Mr Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, stated:

BMW M2 CS Exterior Design

The M2 CS features extensive carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components such as the M Carbon roof, boot lid, mirror caps, and CS-specific rear diffuser.
Other highlights feature an extended kidney grille, integrated “Ducktail” spoiler, Adaptive LED headlights with BMW Selective Beam, and forged M light-alloy wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) in matt Gold Bronze finish fitted with track tyres.
The M2 CS is available in Brooklyn Grey, Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire, and optional BMW Individual Velvet Blue metallic, with black Merino leather upholstery featuring exclusive highlights.

BMW M2 CS Interior Features
The interior features lightweight M Carbon bucket seats, full Merino leather upholstery, an M Alcantara steering wheel with carbon details, a carbon centre console, illuminated “CS” door trim, M seatbelts, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.
BMW M2 CS Technical Specifications

The M2 CS features an upgraded 3.0-litre S58 inline-six engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, delivering 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque - a near 50 hp increase over the standard M2, while weighing 30 kg less.
Power reaches the rear wheels through an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Acceleration from 0-100 kmph takes 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 302 kmph (enabled by the standard M Driver’s Package).
The chassis is lowered by eight millimetres with bespoke tuning for springs, dampers, and control systems, optimising dynamics for road and track use.
M Compound brakes come standard, with optional M Carbon ceramic brakes available.
The M2 CS joins BMW's M lineup, which includes models such as the M2, M Performance M340i, M4 Competition, M5, M8, and the plug-in hybrid XM - all available as imported CBU offerings.
