Driving License Validity Likely To Be Extended Upto 50 Years of Age

As per some sources, the Indian government is considering extending the validity of driving licenses until the individual reaches the age of 50.

Driving licenses, at the moment, are issued for a duration of 20 years, up until the individual turns 40.

Drivers above the age of 50 are obliged to provide a medical certificate during the renewal of their driving license. While specifics remain undisclosed, the government is looking forward to simplifying this process.

The Road Transport ministry also aims to digitize the entire process for vehicle ownership transfers and permit renewals, making ownership transfers and permit renewals hassle free.
