Mass Market Two-Wheeler Makers
Hero MotoCorp leads all two-wheeler makers with 25,96,708 registrations between January and May, averaging over 5 lakh units a month. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is close behind at 23,60,147 units. These two brands together account for roughly half of all two-wheeler registrations in the country during this period.
TVS Motor Company is third at 18,47,499 units. Bajaj Auto registered 10,28,563 units, Classic Legends ells Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles, registered 24,107 units across five months.
Suzuki Motorcycle India registered 4,94,629 units, just marginally ahead of Royal Enfield's 4,92,972. India Yamaha Motor registered 3,21,564 units.

Electric Two-Wheeler Makers
Ather Energy leads EV two-wheeler registrations with 1,37,211 units across five months, though its numbers show some variability month to month.
March was its strongest month at 36,333 units. Ola Electric is on a strong upward trajectory, going from 7,808 units in January to 15,139 in May, more than doubling in five months. Greaves Electric Mobility, which sells under the Ampere brand, registered 32,859 units with May being its strongest month at 7,689. Oben Electric and Ultraviolette are still at very low volumes, under 2,500 units each for the five-month period.
Ather Energy's 450 series continues to be its main volume driver, and the company has confirmed the Ather Rizta family scooter is being expanded.

Premium Two-Wheeler Makers
BMW India's two-wheeler numbers here are separate from BMW India's car sales, and cover BMW Motorrad motorcycles. The 2,364 registrations across five months reflect the G 310 R and G 310 GS at the entry end, with bigger GS and S 1000 models contributing smaller numbers.
India Kawasaki Motors registered 2,034 units, a relatively steady 300 to 500 units a month. Triumph Motorcycles India is a joint venture between Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles UK, and its 440 units over five months come from the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, both of which were developed specifically for India and export markets. Ducati India registered 195 units across five months, with most of that volume coming from the Scrambler and Multistrada families.
