Land Rover

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is expected to continue as a stylish luxury SUV in India, known for its striking design and refined interior. It offers a blend of on-road comfort and mild off-road capability, powered by refined petrol and diesel engines, likely with mild-hybrid tech. Targeting design-conscious luxury buyers, it sits between the Evoque and Range Rover Sport.

The Land Rover Range Rover Velar (2017-2023) filled the gap between the Evoque and the Sport with a sleek, flush-surfaced design, when it arrived in India in 2018. A 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel powered it via an 8-speed automatic. Discontinued in July 2023, it was replaced by the facelifted Velar with a curved Pivi Pro touchscreen and a 3.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine.

The Land Rover Discovery (2017-2021) fifth generation model came with aluminium-intensive platform, seven-seats, and powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine in its final years after the diesel was dropped at the BS6 transition. It was discontinued in July 2021 and replaced by the facelifted Discovery, which brought updated front end, Pivi Pro infotainment and mild-hybrid engines.
