The Volkswagen Vento sedan shared its platform with the Polo and running a 1.0-litre TSI in its BS6 avatar. After 12 years in the Indian market, it was discontinued in mid-2022 and replaced by the larger, more feature-loaded Volkswagen Virtus, built on the localised MQB-A0-IN platform.

The Volkswagen Polo had a 12-year run in India, featuring 1.0-litre TSI engine, and precise driving dynamics. It was discontinued in mid-2022 after going without a major platform update for over a decade. No direct replacement was announced, with Volkswagen's entry point in India shifting to the Virtus sedan and Taigun SUV.

The original Volkswagen Taigun in its 2021-2026 form has been discontinued in India, with the facelifted Taigun having replaced it from April 2026.

The Volkswagen T-Roc was sold in India as a fully imported unit in two limited batches of 1,000 units each, powered by a 1.5-litre TSI engine with cylinder deactivation. It was discontinued by late 2021 once both batches sold out, with no locally assembled successor confirmed. It was not replaced by a direct equivalent in the Indian market.
