Renault Triber 2019-2025 Overview

Updated on January 21, 2026

The 2025 Renault Triber, a compact and modular seven-seater, has been refreshed to ensure it retains its edge as a budget-friendly family MPV. Launched in July 2025, this facelift delivers revised exterior styling, a refreshed cabin, and new convenience features, while keeping its familiar 1.0-litre petrol engine intact. The Triber facelift launches with four trims: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion, with monotone and dual-tone color options. It continues to cater to value-conscious buyers seeking flexibility without sacrificing features, and its support for a dealer-fitted CNG kit adds practical versatility.

engine and performance

Under the hood, the Triber continues with its familiar 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox (available only on the Emotion trim, for an extra ₹52,000).

Renault hasn't updated the powertrain but maintains its efficient and easy-to-service character. Fuel efficiency hovers between 17 and 20 kmpl based on reported figures. Buyers still have the option of a dealer-fitted CNG kit with warranty coverage, offering an alternative for cost-conscious customers.

Ride and Handling

Retaining its well-balanced ride, the Triber continues to use the CMF-A+ platform with MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam at the rear. Its high 182 mm ground clearance helps navigate Indian road imperfections gracefully, and the agile steering makes city driving effortless.

The suspension soaks up bumps well, maintaining comfort even with a full load of passengers. Highway runs feel stable, though the light steering and soft body roll remind you this is meant for families, not sporty performance.

interior

Inside, the Triber facelift steps up its game with a black-and-beige dual-tone theme, new upholstery fabrics, and a subtle dashboard redesign that integrates a larger 8-inch floating touchscreen.

The center of the cabin gains a cleaner layout, while the modular seating, able to accommodate both 5- and 7-seat configurations, remains one of its strengths. Second-row seats can slide, recline, fold, and tumble, providing impressive flexibility. When configured as a five-seater, the MPV offers up to 625 litres of boot space.

Practical touches like rear AC vents for all three rows, a cooled glove box, and generous interior storage further enhance its family-friendly credentials.

Infotainment & Tech

Technology gets a solid upgrade in the facelift. A prominent 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system comes standard across most trims, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The driver gets a 7-inch semi-digital instrument display that enhances clarity. Top variants, especially Emotion, offer push-button start, wireless phone charging, cruise control, remote keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps with “follow-me-home” function, and auto-folding ORVMs with welcome/exit animation.

exterior

The facelifted Triber introduces a redesigned grille sporting Renault’s updated logo, refreshed bumper designs with skid plates, and sleek LED projector headlamps paired with daytime running lights.

The bumpers, both front and rear, boast new styling that gives the MPV a more rugged appearance. New dual-tone 15-inch wheel covers enhance the visual appeal, and Renault introduced three fresh monotone shades: Amber Terracotta, Zanskar Blue, and Shadow Grey, bringing the total to six.

For those eyeing a two-tone look, dual-tone options (white, grey, or orange with a black roof) are available exclusively on the top Emotion variant for an additional ₹23,000.

safety

Safety enhancements are more robust in the facelift. Across all variants, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), speed alert, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and parking sensors are now standard. Higher trims add front parking sensors, rear-view camera, rain-sensing wipers, and rear defogger. Renault has also reinforced structural elements to meet updated regulatory standards in India.

competition

In the compact MPV segment, the Triber primarily competes with alternatives like the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6, Toyota Rumion, and Kia Carens, all offering more power, hybrid options, or premium features. The Triber’s advantage lies in its unmatched initial price, exceptional seating flexibility, and improved features post-facelift, making it an attractive choice for budget-conscious families.

final verdict

The 2025 Renault Triber facelift stays true to its value-oriented roots while adding meaningful updates in design, comfort, and safety. It strengthens its appeal to urban families with thoughtful enhancements, yet the platform remains familiar and proven.
