4.6

Overall Rating

The Renault Captur arrived in India in late 2017 as the brand's flagship, sitting on the Duster's underpinnings with European-style softer crossover styling. A 1.5-litre petrol was its only BS6-era powertrain option. It was discontinued in June 2020 after selling just over 6,600 units in its entire run. No direct replacement was launched.

The Renault Captur was a five-seat SUV sold in India with petrol and diesel engines, with the diesel version paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. It stood out for its European-inspired styling and was based on Renault’s M0 platform shared with the Duster.

The Captur offered features such as LED lighting, a touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control and climate control, while its suspension tuning gave it a comfortable ride.

Renault discontinued it in 2020 after weak sales and did not introduce a direct replacement in India.
