The MG Gloster entered India as a large, three-row SUV with a choice of six- and seven-seat configurations. Its 2.0-litre diesel was available in different states of tune, with the more powerful twin-turbo version producing 215bhp and 480Nm.

An eight-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive were available, making it considerably more capable than the average front-wheel-drive SUV in this segment.

Inside, the Gloster had a large cabin with captain seats in the six-seat configuration and a separate third row. Equipment included a large touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a digital instrument cluster and a powered tailgate.

The SUV also offered a long list of driver-assistance and parking functions in higher versions.

This iteration was eventually discontinued as MG moved on to updated Gloster versions.
