Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pick Up Revealed Slated For 2027 Debut

Mahindra has unveiled the production-ready Scorpio Lifestyler, its new lifestyle pickup based on the Scorpio-N. It will be sold as the Lifestyler in global markets and as the Scorpio Lifestyler in India.

The pickup will launch in India by April 2027, with prices starting below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Design

The Scorpio Lifestyler is larger than the Scorpio-N, with a stretched body-on-frame platform designed to accommodate a larger cargo bed. It gets inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlamps, a wide grille, muscular bumpers and an integrated skid plate

. The bonnet carries a Scorpio wordmark, while the side profile features chunky wheel arches, body cladding, roof rails and large dual-tone alloy wheels with off-road tyres. At the rear, vertically positioned LED tail-lamps flank the tailgate, which gets prominent Mahindra lettering.

Scorpio Lifestyler Special Editions

Mahindra has showcased three special editions of the pickup: Surfer, Trail and Valley. These versions feature different colour schemes and exterior accessories, giving each variant a distinct appearance.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Interior And Features

The cabin gets a new dashboard with a large portrait-oriented touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster and a redesigned centre console. Key features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, terrain and drive modes, an electronic parking brake, automatic hill hold and a multifunction steering wheel. The pickup gets a double-cab layout with two rows of seats.

Scorpio Lifestyler Engine And Gearbox

Mahindra has not confirmed the final powertrain specifications. The pickup is expected to share the Scorpio-N's 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines, with manual and automatic gearbox options. Both 4x2 and 4x4 versions are also expected.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Price And Rivals

The Scorpio Lifestyler's biggest advantage could be its pricing. With a starting price below Rs 19.79 lakh, it is expected to undercut the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and Toyota Hilux by a significant margin. Its combination of a lower price, 4x4 capability, modern features and lifestyle-focused design could make it a strong new entrant in India's pickup truck market.
