JSW Motors is getting ready to enter the Indian market soon, and the first signs are already here. The Jetour T2, one of the upcoming SUVs from the JSW-Chery partnership, has been spotted testing in Pune.
The Jetour T2 stands out with its bold, boxy design that may remind you of the Land Rover Defender. It has a strong road presence with an upright stance, squared-off LED headlamps, flat bonnet, and rugged overall looks.

The SUV is quite large, and in its international-spec, even bigger than the Tata Safari. This should give it an impressive appearance on Indian roads.
This test sighting in Pune is important as it usually means the car is undergoing final validation and homologation work. The Jetour T2 is expected to be a plug-in hybrid, offering both petrol power and a good electric-only range for city driving.

JSW is planning to launch the T2 around October 2026. It is likely to be priced between Rs 35-45 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an interesting option in the premium mid-size SUV space.
It will compete with models like the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and Volkswagen Tiguan. However, its primary rival will likely be the upcoming BYD Sealion 6 Hybrid.
We can expect more details to come out soon, as more test mules are spotted and as the launch timeline draws closer.
