Hyundai Mystery Crossover Spied Again With HR Number plates

Hyundai's Bayon-based compact SUV  has been spotted testing in India ahead of its expected launch in 2027. This particular test mule was spotted in Haryana, as evident from its HR number plates. We can also see roof rails, sharper LED lights, and a cutout for the parking cameras.

Hyundai was reportedly developing a brand-new 1.2-litre turbo engine for this yet-unnamed crossover codename Bc4i.

This is not an entirely ground-up product from Hyundai for India. This spied crossover will be based on the Bayon, which has been on sale in the UK for a long time. The design and other elements are likely to be similar, albeit with some cost-cutting measures such as fabric seats, lower spec engine, more plastics and the absence of ADAS on lower trims.

Earlier, we thought this was a Fronx rival, but Hyundai plans to position it in C segment priced between Rs. 9 lakh and Rs. 12 lakh  rivaling the likes of the Tata Curvv, expect it launch next years after Creta facelift
