F1 British GP 2026 Preview, India Timings, and Where to Watch

Following a thrilling Austrian GP, Formula 1 is headed to Silverstone in the United Kingdom for the British Grand Prix.

It is a Sprint weekend, with the Sprint Qualifying scheduled for Friday (3 July) at 9:00 PM IST, and the Sprint on Saturday (4 July) at 4:30 PM. Qualifying for the main race will start a few hours later at 8:30 PM, with the race on Sunday (5 July) scheduled at 7:30 PM.

Talking about the Silverstone Circuit, this is where it all began. It is the home and place of origin of Formula 1. This 5.891 km circuit is one of the most classic race tracks in the calendar, featuring 18 corners and is famous for its fast, sweeping turns and long straights.

Silverstone is a medium-to-high downforce circuit.

The Austrian Grand Prix saw George Russell taking his second win since the season opener in Australia. This was a much-needed victory for the Briton, who further bridged the deficit to his teammate down to 40 points.

Max Verstappen returned to the podium with a second place for Red Bull's home race, with the team and driver duo looking very promising after significant upgrades to the car, closely fighting Mercedes for the win, and only finishing 1.6 seconds behind Russell.

For Kimi Antonelli, P3 was decent damage limitation, having started fourth and losing a position before the end of the first lap.

It was not the best of races for Ferrari after the high of Spain. With Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton having started P2 and P3 (respectively) on the grid, the duo ended up finishing P5 and P8.

McLaren had a better day, with Oscar Piastri finishing P4 and teammate Lando Norris in P7.

The Racing Bulls duo of Liam Lawson and rookie Arvid Lindblad completed the points scoring positions in ninth and tenth respectively.
