The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is Toyota’s contender in India’s fiercely contested midsize SUV segment, taking on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Developed through the Toyota-Suzuki alliance, it combines Toyota’s hybrid expertise with SUV practicality, helping popularise strong-hybrid technology in the mainstream market.
Since its launch in 2022, the Hyryder has stood out for offering one of the widest powertrain choices in the segment, while positioning itself as an efficiency-focused alternative to conventional petrol SUVs.
Following our variant breakdown for the Taisor, here is every Hyryder variant explained:
Toyota Hyryder Prices And Variants Summary
The Hyryder's variant lineup spans five grades: E, S, G/G(O), and V, but the picture is more complex than that because these grades run across three separate powertrain families: Neodrive mild-hybrid petrol (E, S, G(O), V), E CNG (S, G), and Strong Hybrid (S, G(O), V).
That gives you a total of 31 configurations once dual-tone colours and drivetrain choices are included.
The pricing spread is wide. Entry point is the Neodrive E MT at ₹10.99 lakh, while the top-of-range Hybrid V in dual-tone sits at ₹20.19 lakh, a ₹9.2 lakh gap within the same nameplate.
Petrol variants run from ₹10.99 lakh to ₹18.92 lakh, CNG from ₹13.38 lakh to ₹15.34 lakh, and the Hybrid range from ₹16.77 lakh to ₹20.19 lakh. The AWD option, exclusive to the petrol V AT, adds a ₹1.48 lakh premium over its 2WD counterpart.
Dual-tone exterior choices attract a flat ₹20,000 premium across any variant that offers them.
The practical decision-making is less about picking a grade and more about first choosing the right powertrain for your use case, then choosing the grade that gives you the features you actually need within that powertrain family.

Before spending any time comparing variants, it's worth anchoring what every single Hyryder buyer gets regardless of budget. The structural and safety baseline is stronger than this price band typically delivers.
Every variant ships with 6 airbags (dual front, side, and curtain), Toyota's TECT high-tensile body structure, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Hold Control, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, front seatbelt pre-tensioners with force limiters, and a reverse camera with rear parking sensors.
That's a complete passive and active safety package without needing to step up a single trim.
On dimensions, the 4365mm length, 1795mm width, 2600mm wheelbase, and 1645mm height are identical across the board, as are the 215/60 R17 tyres, MacPherson strut front suspension, torsion beam rear, ventilated front discs, and solid rear discs.
Every variant also gets auto air conditioning with rear vents and a PM2.5 cabin air filter, push-button start, keyless entry, tilt-and-telescopic steering, cruise control, front and rear USB ports, 60:40 split-folding and reclining rear seats, and a rear centre armrest with cupholders, all standard.
The Hyryder's floor-level comfort and convenience package, in other words, doesn't require you to pay a premium.
Here is what you get with each of the Hyryder variants sitting comfortably under 20 lakhs:
Hyryder E Base Model

Who Should Buy The Toyota Hyryder E Base Model?
The Neodrive E is the Hyryder stripped to its engineering core, and for a specific buyer, that's exactly the right product. At ₹10,99,000, it is the cheapest SUV in its segment to come with 6 airbags, VSC, Hill Hold, TECT body structure, and a 1.5L ISG mild-hybrid engine producing 103 PS with a certified 21.12 km/l, all standard.
What it omits versus the S is a touchscreen entirely (it gets a 4.2-inch TFT display only), rear wiper, and the 6AT transmission option. The absence of a touchscreen is the real pain point, as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto simply aren't available here.
However, the E compensates with full cruise control including steering-mounted controls (audio commands), which most competitors skip at this price point.
It is ideally suited to fleet operators who need Toyota's reliability and running costs without infotainment overhead, buyers whose primary car already provides connectivity, or first-time SUV buyers who want a safe, efficient, uncomplicated Hyryder within ₹11 lakh.
What features does Toyota Hyryder E base model have?
The base model Hyryder E covers the essentials with 6 airbags, cruise control, automatic climate control and 17-inch wheels.

Hyryder S Model

Who Should Buy The Toyota Hyryder S Model?
The S grade is where the Hyryder gains its most important feature: the 7-inch SmartPlaycast touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and becomes a realistic everyday car for most buyers.
Across all three powertrains, the S also brings 4 speakers (up from 2 in the Neodrive E), a trunk lamp, front footwell lighting, and a courtesy lamp. Meanwhile, the Neodrive S AT at ₹13.77 lakh additionally gains an Electronic Parking Brake and paddle shifters.
The CNG S MT at ₹13.38 lakh delivers 26.6 km/kg in gas mode, and for buyers covering over 15,000 km annually on routes with CNG access, the per-kilometre running cost is roughly one-third of the Neodrive petrol, enough to recover the premium well within the ownership cycle.
The trade-off is a boot significantly reduced by the CNG cylinder and a 5MT-only drivetrain.
The Hybrid S at ₹16.77 lakh is the cheapest entry into the 27.97 km/l strong-hybrid powertrain, whose seamless e-Drive CVT starts almost every journey in near-silent EV mode, sustaining that up to 40 km/h in gentle city traffic, an experience the Neodrive and CNG simply can't replicate.
Across all three powertrain choices at the S grade, what's consistently absent is TPMS, LED headlamps, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and Toyota i-Connect, all of which require stepping to G(O).
What features does Toyota Hyryder S add/upgrades over E?
The Hyryder S introduces a touchscreen infotainment system, luggage room lamp, footwell lighting and an automatic transmission option.
| Category | Specs |
|---|---|
| Engine & Transmission | Neodrive: 1.5L Petrol, 103 PS, 137 Nm, 5MT / 6AT, 2WD Hybrid: 1.5L Strong Hybrid, 116 PS (system output), e-Drive, 2WD E-CNG S: 1.5L Petrol+CNG, 101 PS (Petrol) / 88 PS (CNG), 5MT, 2WD |
| Interior | Courtesy Lamp, Smart Playcast Touchscreen Audio System: 7-inch, Trunk/Luggage Room Lamp, Front Footwell Light |
| Comfort & Convenience | Electronic Parking Brake (6AT), Paddle Shift (AT), Gear Shift Indicator (MT) |
| Wheel & Colours | Steel wheel with Full wheel cap Café White, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red, Midnight Black, Cave Black, Speedy Blue |

Hyryder G/G(O) Model

Who Should Buy The Toyota Hyryder G/G(O) Model?
This is where the Hyryder starts feeling like a fully-equipped modern SUV. The step up from S to G/G(O) is the most feature-dense jump in the entire lineup: LED projector headlamps, TPMS, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, wireless charging, Toyota i-Connect connected car features, ventilated front seats, a 9-inch touchscreen with premium audio and tweeters, PVC-with-stitch door armrests, ambient door spot lighting, and auto-folding ORVMs all arrive simultaneously.
On the Neodrive, the G(O) MT at ₹14.51 lakh is consistently regarded as the sweet spot of the petrol lineup, as it delivers every feature that matters in daily use and saves ₹1.51 lakh over the V MT.
The CNG G at ₹15.34 lakh is arguably the most feature-complete CNG SUV in the segment, as it features alloy wheels, 9-inch screen, ventilated seats, soft-touch dashboard, wireless charging, and rear door sunshades in a CNG variant is unusual, and buyers who want both a feature-rich interior and low running costs without an automatic gearbox will find it hard to beat on value density.
The Hybrid G(O) at ₹18.78 lakh is where the strong hybrid powertrain truly finds its ideal pairing, as the G(O)'s fabric seats over the V's leatherette for India's tropical climate, is better for thermal comfort and a firmer feel, making the ₹1.21 lakh saving over the Hybrid V feel even more justified.
Across all G(O) variants, what's withheld versus V is the panoramic sunroof, Head-up Display, 360-degree camera, 8-way power driver's seat, leatherette upholstery, leather steering wheel, and alloy wheels.
What features does Toyota Hyryder G/G(O) add/upgrades over S?
The Hyryder G(O) brings LED headlamps, connected car tech, ventilated seats, wireless charging and a more premium cabin ambience.
| Category | Specs |
|---|---|
| Engine & Transmission | Neodrive G(O): 1.5L Petrol, 103 PS, 137 Nm, 5MT / 6AT, 2WD Hybrid G(O): 1.5L Strong Hybrid, 116 PS (system output), e-Drive, 2WD E-CNG G: 1.5L Petrol+CNG, 101 PS (Petrol) / 88 PS (CNG), 5MT, 2WD |
| Exterior | Projector Headlamps: LED, Front Variable Intermittent Wiper, Rear Window Wiper & Washer, Optional Dual Tone Exterior (Dark Green), Chrome Belt Line Garnish |
| Safety & Security | TPMS, Day/Night IRVM (Auto) |
| Interior | Ambient Lighting: Door Spot, Premium Audio, Tweeters (2), Shift Garnish (Upgraded Finish), Hazard Garnish (Upgraded Finish), Rear AC Vent Garnish & Knob (Upgraded Finish), Door Armrest: PVC + Stitch, Switch Bezel: Metallic Black, Luggage Shelf Strings |
| Comfort & Convenience | Wireless Charger, Toyota i-Connect, AQI Display in Audio, Ventilated Seats, Auto Folding Outside Mirror |
| Wheel & Colours | Machined Alloy wheel Café White, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red, Midnight Black, Cave Black, Speedy Blue Dual tones: Speedy Blue x Midnight Black, Sportin Red x Midnight Black, Enticing Silver x Midnight Black, Café White x Midnight Black |

Hyryder V Top Model

Who Should Buy The Toyota Hyryder V Model?
The V is the only grade where the two most aspirational powertrain-feature combinations converge: the Neodrive V AT AWD at ₹18.72 lakh, the only Hyryder with on-demand torque distribution to all four wheels and Hill Descent Control, and the Hybrid V at ₹19.99 lakh, the only variant in the entire lineup with a panoramic sunroof, Head-up Display, 360-degree Surround View Monitor, 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, rear door sunshades, leatherette perforated seats, and leather steering wheel.
Auto headlamps, follow-me-home lighting, enhanced dual-zone ambient lighting (Door Spot + IP Line), and machined alloy wheels also arrive exclusively here.
The Hybrid V at ₹19.99 lakh is the stronger long-term ownership case of the two top variants, as the ownership calculus shifts meaningfully when 27.97 km/l real-world efficiency is factored against a five-year fuel cost comparison with any turbo-petrol rival at a similar price point.
However, the one gap across both V variants is the absence of Adaptive Cruise Control, which at this price point is a missed opportunity, particularly when segment rivals and even the City e:HEV offer it.
What features does Toyota Hyryder V add/upgrades over G/G(O)?
The Hyryder V rounds things off with a panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat, leather upholstery, alloy wheels and AWD availability.
| Category | Specs |
|---|---|
| Engine & Transmission | Neodrive V: 1.5L Petrol, 103 PS, 137 Nm, 5MT / 6AT, 2WD / 4WD Hybrid V: 1.5L Strong Hybrid, 116 PS (system output), e-Drive, 2WD |
| Exterior | Auto Headlight, Follow Me Home Headlamp, Roof Rails: Black, Optional Dual Tone Exterior (Dark Green) |
| Safety & Security | Hill Descent Control (4WD) |
| Interior | Black Interior, Ambient Lighting: Door Spot + IP Line, Soft Touch IP with Premium Stitch, Artificial Leather Seats with Perforations (Black), Leather Steering Wheel, Drive Mode Switch (4WD) |
| Comfort & Convenience | Panoramic Sunroof, Rear Door Sunshade, Driver Seat Adjustment (8-Way Electric), Driver & Passenger Vanity Mirror Lamp |
| Wheel & Colours | Machined Alloy wheel Café White, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red, Midnight Black, Cave Black, Speedy Blue Dual tones: Speedy Blue x Midnight Black, Sportin Red x Midnight Black, Enticing Silver x Midnight Black, Café White x Midnight Black |
