The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N continues with the same engine options as before, with no mechanical changes introduced as part of the facelift. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, both paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine produces 203 PS of power. It develops 370 Nm of torque when paired with the 6-speed manual gearbox, while the automatic version offers a slightly higher 380 Nm. This engine is available exclusively with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout.
The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine is offered in two states of tune. Lower variants produce 132 PS and 300 Nm of torque, while higher variants generate 175 PS. In the higher-output version, torque stands at 370 Nm with the manual gearbox and increases to 400 Nm with the automatic transmission. The diesel engine is available with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and Mahindra's 4XPLOR four-wheel-drive (4WD) system on select variants.

The 4WD-equipped variants also feature shift-on-the-fly functionality, allowing drivers to switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive without stopping. They additionally get dedicated terrain modes for Snow, Mud & Ruts, and Sand, making the Scorpio N one of the few SUVs in its segment to offer serious off-road capability straight from the factory.
