Ather Konarc Launched at Rs 99,999, New Platform and Up To 161 Km Range

Ather Energy has launched the Konarc electric scooter in India, with prices starting at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).
This is the first production model based on Ather’s new EL platform, which focuses on lower costs, easier servicing, simpler charging and everyday practicality rather than pure performance.
The Konarc is positioned as a family-oriented scooter, below the Rizta.
It comes in S and Z lines with multiple battery and range options. Announced prices cover the S variants, while details for the higher 200 km S and both Z models are yet to be revealed.

Deliveries of the 125 km and 161 km S versions are expected from September 2026.
The base 100 km model is planned for early 2027, with the 200 km S and Z versions following later.
Design and Practicality
The Konarc has a conventional family-scooter look with a boxy profile, large single-piece seat and adjustable pillion backrest.
It features metal body panels and a centre stand, both firsts for Ather. A spacious floorboard, 31-litre underseat storage (enough for two half-face helmets) and an apron cubbyhole add everyday usefulness. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with a 1,352 mm wheelbase for better stability.
Battery, Motor and Charging
The scooter is offered with three main battery packs: 2.1 kWh (100 km), 2.7 kWh (125 km) and 3.5 kWh (161 km). Peak power is rated at up to 4.7 kW with 16 Nm of torque. Top speed is 70 km/h on the S variants.
A 450W onboard charger is built in, so owners do not always need to carry a separate unit. An optional portable charger can be added for a combined 900W charging rate. The EL platform supports battery packs from about 2 kWh to 5 kWh, giving flexibility for future variants.

Underpinnings and Safety
The Konarc uses a tubular steel frame with Showa telescopic forks and a monoshock offering around 90-100 mm of travel.
Braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum, supported by Ather’s AeBS (Advanced Electronic Braking System). This system combines regenerative and conventional braking for better control and shorter stopping distances.
Features
Equipment includes a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, Ather Connect, OTA updates, navigation (works without constant phone connection), voice control, pothole alerts, tow and crash alerts, riding modes, reverse mode, AirWalk, AutoHold, FallSafe, keyless ignition (MagicKey) and hill-hold assist.
A USB Type-C charger is also provided.
The Ather Konarc brings the brand’s technology and software experience to a more affordable and practical package. It aims to compete with other mass-market electric scooters while offering multiple range choices and strong everyday features.
