The Volvo S60 was a five-seat luxury sedan built around a balance of comfort, safety and restrained Scandinavian design. Its exterior featured Thor's Hammer LED headlights, a wide grille and clean body lines, while the cabin used a vertically oriented touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, leather upholstery, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and Harman Kardon audio.

India received the S60 T4 Inscription with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 190 bhp and 300 Nm. It was paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive.

The sedan also featured Volvo's driver-focused chassis tuning and a range of electronic driving aids.

Safety equipment included multiple airbags, ABS, stability and traction control, lane-keeping assistance, collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and parking assistance.

Volvo delisted the S60 from its Indian website in November 2022, ending its local sale.
