The Maserati GranTurismo was a four-seat grand tourer with a long bonnet, low roofline and rear-wheel-drive layout. Styled by Pininfarina, it combined a sculpted exterior with a leather-lined cabin that offered electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, premium audio and a driver-focused dashboard.

India-spec versions used naturally aspirated V8 engines, with the 4.2-litre unit producing 405 bhp and 460 Nm and the 4.7-litre version making up to 440 bhp and 490 Nm. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the performance-focused versions received upgraded brakes and suspension.

Electronic stability control, ABS, traction control, EBD and parking assistance were among the safety features.

The 2011-2015 generation was discontinued in India around 2015. Maserati later revived the GranTurismo name with an all-new model in 2022.
