Land Rover Sport Electric Key Specifications
Land Rover Sport Electric Overview

The Range Rover Sport Electric is the first fully electric Sport, and Range Rover is pitching it as a driver’s car first and an EV second. Bookings are open in India, with arrival expected by March 2027 as a fully imported unit.
Two 260 kW motors, one on each axle, make up to 550 PS and 850 Nm. A 118.5 kWh battery gives a claimed WLTP range of 609 km, and an 800V system supports 350 kW charging.
Most of the engineering effort went into the chassis. The body is 61 percent stiffer and the centre of gravity sits 73 mm lower than the plug-in hybrid, and the suspension and steering have been retuned to match.
Range Rover has not given up its usual strengths either. Wading depth stays at 900 mm, the SUV climbs 45 degree inclines and tows up to 2.5 tonnes.
Outside, the changes are subtle. A flush electric-only grille and new wheel designs are the main giveaways, while the cabin carries over the Sport’s layout with a handful of EV-specific additions.
Engine and Performance
Engine and Performance
The Range Rover Sport Electric uses two permanent magnet motors, one on each axle, for all-wheel drive. Each unit makes 260 kW, and the combined output is 550 PS with 850 Nm of torque. A lower 450 PS tune is also offered globally.
Range Rover claims 0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.3 seconds with Dynamic Launch Mode engaged, which matches the P540 V8 Sport. Indian listings quote 4.5 seconds to 100 km/h. Torque builds up to 50 percent faster than in the Range Rover Electric, reaching full effect in as little as five milliseconds.
The battery is a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion unit with 344 nickel manganese cobalt cells, stacked in two layers inside an aluminium casing. It can switch between 400V and 800V operation, so it works with both older and newer fast chargers.
The motors use silicon carbide inverters and an oil cooling system that adjusts flow in tough conditions such as driving on sand. Range Rover says they are 24 percent more efficient than its previous motors.
fuel economy
fuel economy
Range Rover claims up to 609 km on the WLTP cycle. A real-world figure of 333 miles, or about 535 km, comes from a standardised route. An energy consumption figure has not been published.
A heat pump called ThermAssist is responsible for 25 miles of the certified range on its own. The aero-optimised grille and wheels add up to 10 more miles at motorway speeds.
On a 350 kW DC charger the battery goes from 10 to 80 percent in around 22 minutes. Range Rover also quotes 136 miles, or 220 km, of added range in as little as 10 minutes.
At home, a 22 kW AC charger takes under eight hours for a full charge, while a 7 kW unit needs less than 20 hours. Vehicle-to-Load capability with an adaptor can power small appliances.

The Command Driving Position stays, but it has been tuned for a more sporting feel. The seat sits 20 mm lower than in the Range Rover, the centre console is higher and the steering wheel is smaller in diameter.
A curved 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen runs most functions, supported by a 13.7-inch driver display. Voice control now uses ChatGPT-based language models, and Alexa is built in. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard, along with a 15W wireless charger.
Front seats can be specified with 22-way adjustment, heating, ventilation, massage and memory. The rear seats can also be heated and ventilated with power recline, and the second row sits 11 mm higher than the front for a better view.
Audio options go up to a 29-speaker Meridian Signature system with 1,430W of power. It includes Active Noise Cancellation, which uses headrest speakers and wheelarch microphones to filter out road noise.
Wellbeing features include Cabin Air Purification Pro with PM2.5 filtration, a CO2 monitor and a fragrance diffuser with six scent options. A front console refrigerator and four-zone climate control are available through the Comfort Pack.
Boot space is 835 litres with the rear seats up and 1,860 litres with them folded. A powered tailgate and a loadspace floor partition make the space easier to use.

The Range Rover Sport Electric keeps the Sport’s muscular stance, short overhangs and clean surfaces. A hidden waist rail finisher and a laser-welded roof keep the body looking seamless, and the glazing sits flush.
At the front, slim headlights sit above a new flush grille made only for the electric model. It is aerodynamically optimised, though the grille design depends on the market.
Along the sides, exclusive 21-inch and 22-inch alloy wheels carry EV centre caps. Flush deployable door handles slide out when the SUV is unlocked, and Active Speed Lowering drops the body by 16 mm at high speeds.
The rear gets a continuous tail-light graphic that stretches across the full width of the tailgate. A gloss black panel with Range Rover lettering sits below it. The drag coefficient is 0.29 Cd.
An optional Black Pack and Satin Wrap add a stealthier look. The full Range Rover colour palette is available, and Autobiography buyers can go further with the Bespoke commissioning service.
safety
safety
No Bharat NCAP, Global NCAP or Euro NCAP rating has been published for the Range Rover Sport Electric. The press material does not state an airbag count either.
Driver assistance covers Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, a Rear Collision Monitor and Driver Condition Response. Occupant Protection Assist is also part of the suite.
Visibility aids include Digital LED headlights, a 3D Surround Camera, ClearSight Ground View and ClearSight Rear View. A full colour head-up display is available. The brakes are brake-by-wire with Torque Vectoring by Braking.
The battery has String Disconnect Units that cut high voltage in as little as five milliseconds, and the aluminium casing allows extra room for cell swelling. Underfloor protection is reinforced, and the battery warranty is eight years or 100,000 miles, depending on the market.

The Range Rover Sport Electric is expected to rival the Porsche Cayenne Electric and the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV.
The Porsche Cayenne Electric charges at up to 400 kW and offers far more outright power in its range-topping form. The Range Rover counters with 900 mm wading, Terrain Response 2 and air suspension that raises the body, all aimed at proper off-road use.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 580 makes 544 hp from a 122 kWh battery and claims 809 km on the ARAI cycle. That figure is not comparable with the Range Rover’s 609 km WLTP claim. The Range Rover leads with 350 kW charging, one-pedal driving and a 2.5 tonne tow rating with Advanced Tow Assist.
