Engine and Performance
Engine and Performance
The Jaguar XF came with two main engine choices in the Indian market. It offered a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 2.0-litre petrol motor produced around 247 bhp and 365 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre diesel motor produced about 177 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. Both engines used an 8-speed automatic gearbox to send power to the wheels. Jaguar used its Ingenium engine family for this model to provide good performance. The car offered smooth power delivery for city driving and long highway trips. Later, the diesel versions were stopped because they did not meet the BS6 emission rules in 2020. The petrol engine continued for some time before the entire model was eventually taken off the market. Owners liked the car for its balanced power and quick acceleration. This model provided a comfortable driving experience on different road conditions.

competition
competition
The Jaguar XF faced tough competition from many expensive sedans in the Indian market. Its main rivals were the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Audi A6. These cars were popular choices for people who wanted a large and fast vehicle. Another strong competitor was the Volvo S90. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class was a very hard rival because it had a lot of space in the back seat. The BMW 5 Series was also a favorite for buyers who liked a fast drive. Most of these rival cars were priced between 60 lakh and 80 lakh rupees. While the car had a special style, the German brands had more service centers across India. During its time on sale, this model fought for sales against these well-known cars. Constant updates from these rivals made it a very difficult market for the car.
