Engine and Performance
Engine and Performance
The Jaguar XE came with two main engine types for Indian buyers. It had a 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine. The petrol model produced two different power levels. One version gave 197 bhp, while the more powerful one gave 247 bhp. The diesel engine produced around 177 bhp. All models used an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This car sent all its power to the rear wheels only. Later, the diesel engine was removed because it did not meet new BS6 emission rules. The petrol engine used a turbocharger to help it move fast and reach high speeds quickly. It was a smooth car for city roads and highway travel. Many owners liked the quick pick-up of the petrol motor. This model stayed popular among fans because of these strong engines. It was easy to drive and felt very balanced.
