The Aston Martin Rapide was a famous four-door car sold in India for many years and was officially discontinued in the Indian market around 2022. Global production had already ended in 2020 at the factory in Gaydon. One major reason for its exit was that the car did not meet the new safety and crash rules set by the government.

The Rapide used a large 6.0-litre V12 engine that gave it a lot of power. When it was on sale, the price stayed between 3.29 Crore and 4.40 Crore rupees.

It was well known for its long shape and four large seats. Buyers can only find this model in the used market today.

Engine and Performance

The Aston Martin Rapide uses a very large 6.0-liter V12 petrol engine. This motor produces a lot of power, ranging from 470 to 552 horsepower in different versions. The car uses a 6-speed or 8-speed automatic gearbox to send power to the rear wheels. It can reach a top speed of 327 kilometers per hour easily. This model is very fast and goes from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.4 seconds. The engine creates 630 Nm of torque for quick acceleration. This car does not use an electric battery for power because it runs fully on petrol. The V12 motor is famous for making a loud and strong sound while driving. The Rapide is built for high speed and performance on long roads. This engine makes the car feel very energetic and powerful for a four-door sedan.

interior

The Aston Martin Rapide had a cabin designed for 4 people with separate seats in the back. Inside, the car used real leather and wood on the dashboard. The driver sat in a low position that felt like a sports car. It had 4 doors, but the space in the back was tight for tall adults. This model featured glass buttons to change gears and a 1000-watt sound system for music. There were small screens behind the front seats for the people in the back. The trunk provided 317 liters of space for bags. You could fold the rear seats to get 886 liters of total boot space. The car used simple analog dials for speed and engine power. Every button and switch felt heavy and well-made. This model focused more on style and comfort for all 4 passengers.

exterior

The Aston Martin Rapide is a long car with four doors. It looks like a sports car but has space for four people. The car is 5019 mm long and 2140 mm wide. It has a very low body that sits close to the ground. The front part has a large grille. This model has unique doors that open slightly upwards. These doors do not have metal frames around the windows. At the back, the car looks like a hatchback because the trunk glass opens with the door. It came with large 20-inch wheels. The body uses aluminum to keep the weight low. It has simple LED lights at the back and bright lamps at the front. This model looks low and sits very wide on the road. It was built using a strong metal frame to provide better balance.

competition

The Aston Martin Rapide was a very fast four-door car with a high price. In India, it had a few main rivals from other big brands. Its biggest competitor was the Porsche Panamera. This car offered similar power and had four doors too. Another rival was the Maserati Quattroporte, which also had a large engine. Some buyers also looked at the Bentley Flying Spur for more luxury. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4-Door Coupe was another strong choice for people who wanted a fast car. This model cost between 3.29 Crore and 4.40 Crore rupees in the Indian market. At this price point, it even competed with the Ferrari GTC4Lusso. Most of these rivals were easier to drive every day than the Rapide. While the car had a beautiful shape, many people preferred the Panamera for its better inside space and modern features.
