JSW MG Motor India has launched the Majestor in India at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 4x2 Automatic Savvy top trim, available in 6 or 7-seat configurations. The 4x4 Savvy, which is 7-seat only, is priced at ₹44.99 lakh. Both are single-trim launches for now.
The more affordable Sharp base variant is expected later, making the Majestor accessible to more buyers.
| Variant | Seating | Ex-showroom price |
|---|---|---|
| MG MAJESTOR 4x2 Automatic Top Trim | 6 & 7-seater | ₹40.99 lakh |
| MG MAJESTOR 4x4 Automatic Top Trim | 7-seater only | ₹44.99 lakh |
Commenting on the launch, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said,
“The MG MAJESTOR marks a bold addition to our portfolio as India’s first D+ SUV, delivering a powerful blend of performance, premium comfort, advanced technology and superior reliability. With its unmatched dimension, off-road mastery and multiple segment-first features, the MAJESTOR sets new benchmarks and offers a truly differentiated value proposition in the Indian SUV landscape.”
At 5,046 mm long, 2,016 mm wide, and 1,870 mm tall with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor is physically larger on every dimension than the Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X, its closest price-bracket rivals.
That extra size translates directly into third-row space, which has historically been the weakest point of full-size SUVs in this segment.
The engine is a twin-turbo diesel making 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic on both variants. The 4x4 exclusively adds triple differential locks (front, rear, centre), 10 off-road modes, and crawl control, the 4x2 misses all of these entirely.
Also, the ground clearance stands at 219 mm with a 810 mm water wading depth, both competitive numbers for high off-road use.

MG's Shield programme covers the Majestor with a 3-year unlimited-km warranty, 3-year roadside assistance, and three free periodic services. An assured buyback of up to 70% is also on offer.
Lastly, four colour options are available: Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black, and Metal Ash.
