All-New Audi Q3 Bookings Open in India at Rs 1 Lakh

Audi India has opened bookings for the third-generation Q3, at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The SUV comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol, Quattro AWD as standard, and a festive season launch with prices expected next month.

Bookings are open via audi.in, the myAudi Connect app, or at any Audi India dealership.

Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, said,

“The all-new Audi Q3 brings together everything today’s Audi customer is looking for - a striking and progressive design, sophisticated technology, dynamic performance and everyday versatility.”

What Is New on the Audi Q3

3rd Gen Audi Q3 Rear profile

The new Q3 is larger than the outgoing model in every dimension, growing from 4,485 mm to 4,531 mm in length. It now measures 1,859 mm wide and 1,623 mm tall, on a 2,681 mm wheelbase.

Up front, it gets new digital Matrix LED headlights, a redesigned hexagonal single-frame grille, and a flat 2D Audi logo replacing the older 3D badge. There is no chrome on the grille. At the rear, split tail-lamps are connected by a light bar with an illuminated Audi logo at the centre.

The India-spec Q3 does not get the S-Line styling package that is available in some global markets.

Inside, the cabin gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. The conventional gear selector has been replaced by a drive selector stalk behind the steering wheel.

The new Q3's closest rival, the BMW X1 LWB, uses a three-cylinder engine in India. The Q3's four-cylinder setup is a genuine advantage for buyers who care about refinement at higher engine loads.

Expected Price, Launch and Rivals

Audi may price the new Q3 in the Rs 55-60 lakh bracket, ex-showroom, with prices expected to be announced next month. It will be locally assembled in India.

Competition wise, it takes on the BMW X1 LWB and Mercedes-Benz GLA as its direct rivals, along with the Volvo XC40 and Mini Countryman in the entry-level luxury SUV space.
