Engine Specifications
The biggest change in the 2026 Brezza lineup is the introduction of the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. This three-cylinder, direct-injection turbocharged engine produces 110 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Brezza sold in India. It is paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox, offering stronger low-end torque, quicker acceleration, and a more engaging driving experience. The turbo engine has also allowed Maruti Suzuki to introduce a more affordable entry-level Brezza without compromising on performance.
The familiar 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine continues to be offered for buyers looking for refinement and smooth everyday usability. This four-cylinder engine develops 103 PS of power and 139 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The new 6-speed manual replaces the older gearbox and helps improve highway cruising while reducing engine RPMs for better efficiency.
For customers prioritizing lower running costs, the 1.5-litre S-CNG variant remains available. In CNG mode, the engine produces 88 PS of power and 121.5 Nm of torque while retaining the ability to switch seamlessly to petrol whenever required. A major improvement for the facelift is the underbody-mounted CNG tank, which frees up valuable boot space and makes the Brezza more practical for family use.
Mileage
The new 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet engine offers a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency. The LXi and VXi Turbo MT variants deliver a claimed mileage of 20.47 kmpl, while the ZXi and ZXi+ Turbo variants return 19.96 kmpl due to their additional equipment and larger alloy wheels.
The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol manual remains the most balanced option for buyers looking for a combination of refinement and efficiency. The LXi and VXi manual variants offer a claimed mileage of 21.09 kmpl, while the ZXi manual delivers 20.81 kmpl. The 6-speed automatic variants provide a certified fuel efficiency of 20.17 kmpl, making them among the most efficient automatic compact SUVs in the segment.
The S-CNG version is the most fuel-efficient model in the Brezza lineup, offering a claimed mileage of 26.90 km/kg. Combined with lower CNG fuel prices and Maruti Suzuki's extensive service network, the CNG variant is expected to appeal to buyers with high monthly driving requirements.
Features and Equipment
The 2026 Brezza receives several premium upgrades that improve both comfort and convenience. The SUV now comes with a 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, built-in Alexa support, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, and 64-colour ambient lighting. Higher variants also get a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and connected car technology.
Safety has also been improved with six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and a reinforced body structure. On the outside, the facelift features a redesigned front grille, revised bumpers, updated LED lighting signatures, and new dual-tone alloy wheels that give the SUV a fresher appearance.
